2015
dry red
Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Cariñena and Merlot varietals.
Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels followed by aging in the bottle.
This red wine offers a nose of fruit compote marked by heavy oak treatment that feels jarring and dominant. The palate is medium-plus with lots of tannins mingling with the oak to create a heavy, food-dependent experience. Notes of blackberry, jam, vanilla. The finish is, however, lovely and surprisingly long, with ripe cherry and dark chocolate that lingers.
