Aged for 12 months in French oak.

A slightly different ratio of grape varietals than later vintages of the brand naturally changes the tasting profile. Dark chocolate, prunes, a hint of bell pepper on the nose. The palate is of cranberry, red meat, red berries, and very fine tannins. High acidity and warm finish. A very good bottle.
