Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

Powerful and emblematic of the region, this robust red opens up strong with a woody nose of birch and oak, cooked cherries and red plum. The palate surprises with dusty tannins, cognac cherry, bitter chocolate and lots of alcohol. When decanted and left to breathe, the wine opens up beautifully. Vanilla on the nose, a cherry and blueberry cocktail on the palate, and a fiery finish of sweet tobacco and herbs make for a pleasurable ensemble.
